Mr. Jang Hojin, a foreign attorney admitted in Washington, D.C., is a Partner at Joowon Law Firm. He advises global corporations and public institutions on complex regulatory matters, including global governance, international law, and cross-border legislative, legal, and policy frameworks, with a focus on AI governance, data regulation, export controls, and energy policy.

He is recognized for combining strategic insight with deep legal expertise to deliver practical, business-oriented solutions in emerging technologies and advanced industries. His work spans multinational corporations, major domestic enterprises, and public-sector institutions, often involving cross-jurisdictional regulatory strategy and compliance.

Before joining Joowon Law Firm, he served as a Visiting Project Fellow at the Sejong Institute, an AI Policy Researcher at the Seoul International Law Academy, and a Senior Consultant at Crownlabs, focusing on regulatory and government affairs strategy.

He also brings leadership experience as a military officer and as a human resources manager at a major corporation, enabling him to provide commercially grounded and operationally informed counsel. He currently serves as Deputy Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Law and Policy Center (AALAP) at the Seoul International Law Academy and remains actively engaged in academic and policy discourse.
